Establishment
of wetland boundaries and identification of wetland functions
and values are important aspects of project planning and habitat
management. For over twenty years, Quest staff members have been
involved in the assessment, regulation and management of wetland
systems.
Our staff
includes Professional Wetland Scientists who conduct wetland jurisdictional
determinations on projects ranging in size from a few acres to
several thousand acres, and that involve a variety of wetland
community types, from tidal marsh systems to forested riverine
floodplains. We are experienced in the application of wetland
functional assessments such as Wetland Rapid Assessment Procedure
(WRAP) and Uniform Mitigation Assessment Methodology (UMAM).
We are highly
familiar with the federal, state and local regulations and permits
that apply to today’s complex transportation, mining, agricultural
and development projects. We have experience acquiring the necessary
permits and maintaining permit compliance on projects from roadway
and bridge construction to mine reclamation. We have obtained
Federal Department of the Army Permits and State Environmental
Resource Permits (ERP) throughout the state and have participated
in the NEPA process for large scale projects involving alternatives
analysis, and the preparation of Environmental Assessments and
Environmental Impact Statements.
